Our Origins and Vision

Founded in 1967 by Pastor John O. Wilson, the John O. Wilson Hamilton Neighborhood Center, Inc., started its journey in the basement of the Saint Phillips Baptist Church as a child care center. Pastor Wilson envisioned a space that transcended traditional childcare, aiming to create a comprehensive resource center where community members could access a variety of services and support. This vision came to fruition in 1976 when the Township of Hamilton dedicated our current location at 169 Wilfred Avenue, allowing us to expand our offerings and continue serving the diverse needs of our community.
